Reno Corvette Club Legacy Scholarship

Past, Present and Future
 
Our club established the Reno Covette Club (RCC) Legacy Scholarship at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in 2023.  The idea behind establishing this scholarship came from Kathryn “Kat” Hosler - late club Vice President - for the purpose of supporting students enrolled in the TMCC Automotive Technology Program so that we might encourage young students to enter the Automotive Technology field as a career.  The TMCC Foundation enthusiastically embraced this program, and the RCC Executive Board approved the club to proceed with this great program.  Unfortunately, Kat passed away in September 2022, so she never got to see the impact of the scholarship. Fortunately, her legacy continues to shape futures and open doors for aspiring automotive technology professionals now and in the future.
 
In the beginning, two $500 legacy scholarships were awarded from scholarship fund. Thanks to the generosity of many RCC members the endowment has grown now allowing us to pay out two $1000 scholarships per year. 
 
It is the club’s hope that our members and the community will continue to show their generosity which will allow the endowment to grow and allow us to make even more scholarship grants to deserving students.
