The Reno Corvette Club is proud to recognize one of our valued RCC members and community partners, Frank Greenwood and Community 4 Veterans, for their tireless dedication to serving Veterans, seniors, and our local community.

Community 4 Veterans and the RCC have built a partnership founded on a common goal - giving back.  Over the years, Frank, a former Marine, and his organization have generously supported many charitable causes (not limited to The Veterans Guest House, Honor Flight of Nevada, and Blue Star Mothers).  Community 4 Veterans is Veterans Helping Veterans, plus championing the RCC TMCC Legacy Scholarship Fund through generous donations, helping to create educational opportunities.

In return, RCC is honored to support Community 4 Veterans through many of their community outreach efforts.  Two of the most meaningful events take place each year at the Washoe County Senior Center on the Friday before Thanksgiving and the Friday before Christmas, where hundreds of veterans, seniors, and community members gather for a warm holiday meal.  No one is turned away - everyone is welcome!  These events embody the spirit of compassion, service, and community that both organizations strive to promote.

Community 4 Veterans also hosts two free community barbecues each year for Veterans and their families.  The first takes place in mid-July, with the second scheduled for Mid-September.  These gatherings provide an opportunity for Veterans and their families to come together, enjoy great food, and strengthen the bonds within our community.

​

Car enthusiasts also know Community 4 Veterans for its outstanding automotive events.  Each year, the organization hosts or supports three popular car shows:

​

• Early June - Sportsman's Warehouse Car Show

• Fourth Saturday of August - Sportsman's Warehouse Car Show

• Mid-October - Atlantis Casino Car Show

​

These events not only celebrate the automotive hobby but also help raise funds that directly benefit Veterans and other charitable causes throughout Northern Nevada.

​

Frank is also a proud and active member of the Reno Corvette Club, often arriving behind the wheel of his beautiful 2016 Corvette C7-Z06.  While many members see him at club events, countless others know him from the many hours he spends - seven days a week - selling raffle tickets in front of Sportsman's Warehouse.  Those long days of fundraising make possible the many programs and services Community 4 Veterans provides throughout the year.

Frank's dedication, generosity, and unwavering commitment to serving others are truly inspiring.  On behalf of the entire RCC family, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Frank Greenwood and everyone at Community 4 Veterans for making such a positive difference in the lives of Veterans, seniors, students, and our community.
